SureFlo offers “CIPP” (Cured-in-Place Pipe) sewer liner replacement when it is the necessary or most cost-effective solution. Often referred to as ‘sewer lining,’ it is a trenchless method to rehabilitate sewer lines with minimal disturbance to the property surface.

CIPP is commonly used to repair various sewer pipe issues including cracks, leaks, root intrusion, corrosion, and joint failures. It is ideal for situations where extensive excavation with lengthy trenches through a property would be disruptive or costly. It would be an especially helpful option if the damaged line runs under a patio, deck, landscaping features, driveway, neighboring property, alley, road, etc.

The new liner runs through the existing damaged pipe to replace the sewer lateral pipe.

In most cases, we will perform a camera inspection in advance to gather specific information about the location of the damaged area(s), length, and route of the pipe. It will help determine if the small excavation for access to the sewer line would be performed from a point inside or outside the home or building. For interior access with a jackhammer, a HEPA-vac system to eliminate dust is used and the cement will be repoured. When excavating outside, the point of access will be backfilled.

The repair is completed during a two-day process. Typically on the first day, the small excavation is performed. Then, the resin-saturated flexible CIPP is installed through the existing pipe. With the use of an air compressor, the curing process takes place overnight effectively creating a jointless new pipe within the old one. On the second day, the installation materials are removed, the new sewer line is plumbed in, and the excavation is re-covered.

Repeated slow drains or gurgling pipes and constant clogs, sewer odors or sewage back-ups can be aggravating to deal with. It is time-consuming and costly to continually pay for drain cleaning and/or clean up of overflows and back-ups along with the damage it might cause to your home or building. It sometimes becomes necessary to fix the problem of the disconnected or broken pipe, root infiltration, or corrosion that is causing the sewer and drain issues.

Many municipalities of communities in our area have implemented a system to keep our sewer infrastructure in good repair. It often requires an inspection of the sewer lateral line during a home sale. If the lateral does not pass the requirements of the inspection, it is generally the seller’s responsibility to contract the repair or replacement.

No matter the reason, CIPP sewer lining is a repair option that replaces the line through the section of pipe that is faulty. SureFlo also provides the option for regular sewer line replacements using PVC pipe with a typical trench excavated for the length of the repair.
